This book has been written to cover the syllabus of theoretical knowledge for the RAAus Pilot Certificate. It has been written especially for the beginner and does not presuppose any previous knowledge of aviation. Each chapter of the book ends with a series of questions designed to test your comprehension of the material covered. All questions are accompanied by detailed explanations of the answers.

It does not pretend to be a manual on how to fly a particular aircraft, but it will prepare you well for your instructor’s pre-flight briefings as you progress through your flying training.
