After completing the enrolment form RAAus will forward you an invoice by email. On receiving payment, your details will be provided to TAFE NSW to enrol in the Certificate II in Aeroskills (MEA20418).

You are responsible for arranging supervision for the practical tasks recorded in your journal. Tasks must be signed off by a person who holds the appropriate maintenance authority, such as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) or a RAAus Level 2 maintenance authority holder, and who is acceptable to TAFE NSW. Aircraft owners may complete tasks on their own aircraft and have them signed off by an appropriately authorised person. If you need help identifying a suitable supervisor, TAFE NSW can provide guidance on what is acceptable.

Course Provider
The MEA20418 Certificate II in Aeroskills is delivered by TAFE NSW (RTO 90003).
Recreational Aviation Australia Ltd (RAAus) is facilitating access to this course on behalf of eligible members.

Eligibility
Applicants must be current financial members of RAAus at the time of enrolment.
RAAus reserves the right to verify membership status prior to processing an enrolment.

Enrolment
Submission of this form is an expression of interest and does not guarantee a place in the course. Enrolment is subject to acceptance by TAFE NSW and completion of any additional enrolment requirements specified by TAFE NSW, including provision of a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Course Fees
The course fee payable by the participant is $1,500.
The subsidised course fee is available only through this RAAus enrolment process and is not available retrospectively.
Payment instructions will be provided following completion of the enrolment details form.

Cancellation and Refunds
Requests to withdraw prior to enrolment with TAFE NSW may be eligible for a refund, less any administration costs incurred by RAAus.
Once RAAus has confirmed enrolment with TAFE NSW, refunds will only be available in accordance with the applicable TAFE NSW withdrawal and refund policies, except where otherwise required by law. Participants remain liable for any costs incurred by RAAus or TAFE NSW where a withdrawal occurs after enrolment has been processed.

Course Delivery
Course delivery dates, locations, assessment requirements and completion timeframes are determined by TAFE NSW and may change.
RAAus accepts no responsibility for changes made by TAFE NSW to course delivery.

Practical Experience
To complete the qualification, participants must obtain the required experience and practical journal evidence specified in the MEA20418 qualification requirements.
This evidence must be completed under the supervision and verification of:
a RAAus authorised signatory; or
another suitable aviation maintenance organisation approved by TAFE NSW that is able to provide supervision and verification of tasks.
It is the participant's responsibility, with the support of RAAus, to secure access to an appropriate environment where practical journal activities can be completed and signed by an authorised industry representative. Where a participant is unable to obtain the required experience and journal sign-off, TAFE NSW cannot guarantee completion of the full qualification.

Qualification
Successful participants who satisfy all assessment requirements, including the supervised evidence, will be issued the nationally recognised qualification by TAFE NSW.
Completion of this course does not automatically entitle a participant to the issue of an RAAus Maintenance Authority. Maintenance Authorities are issued separately in accordance with the current RAAus Technical Manual and applicable policies.
